SKETCHES BY RADIO

(To ; the Editor.)

Sir,—Last week I was thrilled with the Victor Lloyd party and the presentation of- "The Flowers are not I for You to Pick." I see by the programmes issued by the board that we have to wait another week before the ' Bertram Potts Players present two I radio sketches There is plenty of tal- ' ent in this country if the board would encourage it. In Australia \v» had thrillers and light comedy sketches nightly. Why can't the New Zealau 1 public have .at least one original sketch nightly? There are writers in, this country surely who could be paid to join the broadcasting staff and turn but original sketches with a local back-1 ground. The eternal record is only sending'loyalties: over'the seas.—l am, etc., RALPH JENNINGS.
