A return billiards match between Harry ■Murphy and Angus Duncan last Saturday night at the Tramways room. Duncan, who' wa9 defeated previously by Murphy, won comfortably and those present witnessed some high-class billiards. During the play Duncan, who has been making three-figure breaks in matches recently, made a nice all-round break of 108. Murphy, retaliated with 66 and 57. The balls not running well for Murphy, , allowed Duncan to "monopolise the table, and with useful breaks of fifties he soon ran to points. Game 750-550. Last Wednesday an exhibition match was played at the Paramount room between White (Cairo Club) and McMillan (Fire Brigade). ' The players, who are both competing in the amateur championship next month, displayed a good knowledge of the game and at no part was one player more- than 40 ahead of the other. After a keen tussle McMillan proved the winner by 1 point. 500499. Breaks.—McMillan: 22, 21, 31, 23, 33, 49, 26, 41, 28: White: 30 22, 32 23 43 28, 32. 44.
Next week a return match will be' played between Lance Stout (ex-New Zealand champion), and Sammy Moses (G.P.0.)
