CONSIDERATION FOR JURORS
"I don't- like inconveniencing jurors," said his Honour the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) just after noon today while a case was proceeding. He asked the Crown Prosecutor (Mr. 'P. S. ■K. Macassey) as to the next case. When told that it would probably extend over till next week.if begun during the afternoon; the Chief • Justice said he did not think it would be reasonable for jurors to sit- on Saturday mornings, or to carry a case over the weekend. -The Crown Prosecutor said ho concurred with that view, and waiting jurors were discharged until Monday.
