GREYMOUTH, This Day. Harry Doherty, ■ a steward on tho Poolta, was today convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within twelve months,. on a charge of embezzling ship's stores, a ,51b box of tea, the property of the Union Steam Ship Company. Tho evidence of the police was that early this morning ho stopped a man with tea said to havo been given to him by the accused. - i Dohorty pleaded. guilty.
