COLLEGE MATCHES
To a fine record of performance in Rugby , football matches during the past few seasons, the St. Patrick's College (Silverstream) first fifteen made a notable addition this week in defeating the Wellington College first fifteen- by Si pbints to nil. The winners showed allround superiority, forwards and backs alike.giving a fine display. The team was altogether too strong for' the Wellington College team, which, however, met tho situation valiantly. Fifteen of the points were registered by Wilson, the Silve;--stream centre-three-quarter, who score-] two tries, converted one, and kicked a field goal arid a penalty gbal. Menehira, Reid, Crbpp, Vile,' and Amohia each scored a try and Cropp'converted two. The referee was Mr.- J. Wilson.
An early match between other teams from the two colleges was won narrowly by Silverstream by 13 points to 11. For the winners D. Burke, Taeon, and Chanel scored tries, two of which were converted by J. Burke. For Wellington College Doole, Poeknell, and Barnes scored tries, Barnes converting one.
