PEDIGREE BULL ARRIVES
Consigned to Mr. W. Macf.irlane, of Waiteranui, Hastings, a pedigree Aberdeen Angus bull arrived by the Waitaki this morning, having come from Scotland, via ■ Australia. The animal, which was bred by Mr. J. E. Kerr, Harviesdoun, Dollar, Scotland, bears the name Jurov Eric. Exhibited at the Perth Agricultural Show and sale, it took first prize, and was sold to Mr. Macfarlane by Mr. A; T. Keid, of Auchterarder House, under the agency of the Xew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. The bull was in quarantine in Tasmania for three months, and will be kept on Somes Island for 60 daySj
A fractured leg was sustained by Harry Tolley, aged 46, who lives at 14 Hugh Street, Newtown, as a result of slipping on Mt. Victoria at about 9 a.m. today. He was takeu to the hospital by the Free Ambulance.
