Mrs. J. IVI. Tronp, Kelburn, has returned from a visit to "Dunediu, where she stayed with hor daughter, Mrs. Eobert Kennedy. Mrs. Frank Hay. Hill Street is tho' guest of her sister, Mrs. \V. S. Beau, Christchurch. Mrs. Sinclair-Thompson, who has been visiting Wellington, has returned to Geraldine. Miss Helen Shield, Hawke's Bay, who has been visiting Wellington, left today for Blenheim, where she will be the guest of Miss Dinah Munro. Miss Nancy Shelton, Palmevston North, who has been visiting Hanmer Springs, and Christchurch, has returned hopie. Miss Bowling, junior assistant at the Palmereton North bacteriological laboratory, has been appointed to tho staff of tho Wellington Hospital bacteriological laboratory. Tho resignation of Miss E. M. Tamblyn, district nurse, Petone, was accepted with regret by the Wellington Hospital Board last evening, and it was resolved to advertise, .for a" successoi' to Miss Tamblyn. Mrs. H. C. East and Miss D. East (Christchurch), and Mrs. E. P. Evans (London) are at the Hotel St. George. Mrs. H. Judd, Hawke's Bay, is staying at tho Eoyal Oak Hotel. Mrs, Holben, "Palmerston. North, is at the Grand Hotel.
