ARBOR DAY

Arbor Day will be celebrated at Lower Hutt by'the planting of trees at the north, and 'south ends of the grandstand ,on the. Recreation Ground at ,10.30' a.m. ■: At the north, or sheltered end exotics' will be planted, aidat the'south end native trees. All the schools in tho district;-including the High School, will bo represented, and addresses will be delivered by Mr. W. Nash, M.P., and Mr. ,D. S. Patrick, chairman of the Hutt Valley Horticultural Society. Mr. E. Hntt, superintendent of reserves, will be in charge of planting operations.' In the afternopn time will be set apart at each of the, schools to. impress on the pupils the significance., of Arbor Day, and at most of the-schools trees, will be planted. "' ' .......... ■~
