TRIAL IN SUPREME COURT

William Alexander Crossan, aged .35, a-bobtmaker, before'the Chiefl Justice (Sir Michael Myers) and a jury] for trial in' the: Supreme Court this afternoon. Crossan was charged robbing PercivalE. Hart of £61, th^ property of the. Postmaster-GeneraL while: armed with! a revolver, and, al*. ternatiyely, with the theftof £61, thai property of the Postmaster-General. T<» both .charges he pleaded not guilty. Crossan was represented; by Mr. E. H. Boys, but in; the., empanelment of the jury counsel took np part in the( proceedings. Crossan, from the dock, exercised his full right of challenge, sli of the jurors. being challenged by him* The Crown: Prosecutor., (Mr. P. S. Kj Macassey) stood- three men aside.
