HEAT WAVE CONTINUES
CROP AND CATTLE LOSSES
(Received July 24, 10 a.m.) CHICAGO, July 23. The heat wave in Central and SouthWestern United Slates continued on Monday with the dead numbering 272 in the past'five days. Crops have been ravaged and' failing water supplies havo boon responsible for the loss of thousands of head of cattle. The crop loss is estimated at millions of dollars.
