NEW LIVERPOOL FILM

The most unusual film yet is shortly to be made in Liverpool, states an exchange. It is so unusual that even the keenest film fan will not recognise tl\e heroes and heroines. For the cast will be composed of —cats! The film is being made by the Liverpool Cat Club, which consists of Merseyside members of the Cats' Protection League, under the presidency of Alderman Mabel Fletcher. It is hoped to. draw attention to the need for better, legislation and means of helping eats. Miss M. A. Grooves, the honorary secretary, said there were over a hundred registered cat "members" of the club, in addition to about 200 ordinary members and many children members, all of whom had pet cats. "While the dog has almost every protection and recognition by law," Miss Greeves said, "the cat has very little protection and we are out to remedy this unfairness." • Mr. Norman Pemberton, chairman of the club, .said he had arranged to take a film of the various valuable and intelligent cats owned by the members oJ the cat club, and to show it at their meetings next winter.
