THE CARRY-OVER POSITION

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, July 23. The Xew Zealand Woolbrokers' Association reports that a census. has been taken of all wool in store in New Zealand, which totals 35,889 bales. An estimate has also been made of the wool held in growers' sheds, whith is assessed at 14,037 bales. The great bulk of the held-over wool is crossbred, the North Island total bein-.* 40,0G0 bales and the South Island figure 4861 bales. ' ■ ... Incidentally, Dalgety and Co. estimate the carry-over as at June 30 is 61,469 bales ot wool in the grease.
