Miss Melville is leaving thia week for Honolulu, and expects to return: early in October. The governor-elect of the New Zealand Eotary district, Mr. J. M. A. Hott, who became seriously ill while attending the recent International Rotary Convention; at Detroit, United States, is slowly regaining his health. At a luncheon of the Auckland Botary Club the following cablegram from Mr. Ilott was read: "Exceedingly close call, but gradually recovering; regards. Ilott."
