. MELBOURNE, This Day. Addressing the Constitutional Club, Mr. E. T. Fiskj general manager of Amalgamated Wireless, announced that a front-page picture- appearing1 in the London "Evening Standard" on Saturday was transmitted.from Australia twenty-five minutes, per medium of beam wireless. Mr. Fisk added that television, however, would not be practicable for five to ten years.

SYDNEY, This Day. The Premier, Mr. B. S. Stevens, announced that he did not propose to submit himself as candidate for the forthcoming Federal Elections.
