■ Played on a sodden ground, the game between Poneke and St. Patrick's College Oldißbys at Newtown'Park on Saturday was a' rather ragged affair, the former side winning by 19 points.to nil. The victors dominated play to a large extent, then" backs proving a valuable factor in the• .success. At length Julian got hie inside backs away, and, after a slashing run, Smith went across in the corner. The kick failed. Both sides had turns in taking, the- offensive during the remainder of the spell,'but there was no further •scores-JEorieke being on the attack -when the firial whistle sounded. .
