There was a good attendance'Of;:nienibers of. the Wellington'; Centre ■- Local Bodies' Officers' Guild and their friends at th^Couneil Chambers on Thursday to hear Councillor.L. McKenzie give a deswiption of his journey through Spain. Over 100 views were "shown and described by Mr. llcKenzie. Many -of the personal experiences while visiting the buildings shown were highly appreciated, by the audience. On the motion of the president of the: guild; Councillor McEenzie was accorded a rhearty- vote- of. thanks.. The wish was expressed that the lecturer' avouH later lecture on , another. phaee of his'tour'overseas. During the evening elo* eutionary "items were given by Miss "V. Tait; songs by Mr. D. Hogg, and the Highland fling and Seann :triubhais were danced by Miss A. Burnette. • Mrs. Webb and_ Piper A.- Graham were the; accompaniste for the singing and dancing. After the" lecture refreshments were provided; by, the ladies' committee of the guild. \
