LARGELY-ATTENDED FUNERAL
■; The funeral of the late Mr. E. W. Kane,..C.M.G., J.P., Clerk of Parliaments and Clerk of the Legislative Council, took-place today. There was a. largo-attendance both at.the Basilica, Hill Street, where Requiem Mass waV celebrated,' and at the Mount Street Cemetery, • where the; interment took place.;'..','",.:-''■/ ... '', ■'-..■ > Requiem. Mass was celebrated by the Rey.. Father Smyth. His Grace Archbishop' O 'Shea was present in the Sanctuary.; • The; Dead March in

'Mr. A. J.. 'Luke represented the stepsonsj who live in Sydney. The chief mourners were two nieces of the late Mr.i Kane.'
