ENJOYABLE CONCERT
Held for the purpose of raising funds to provide Christmas holiday camps for the Si. Mark's Scouts and Cubs, a concert ~in St* Mark's Parish Hall, last night was much enjoyed. The unpleasant weather was responsible for only a small attendance. The main feature on the programme was the Wellington Commercial Travellers' Warehousemen's Association's Orchestra, conducted by Mr. J. F. Woodward. Many other excellent-items were given by supporting artists, A Eussian mazurka and an operatic ballet were given by the pupils of Miss Phyllis Oliver, and a violin solo was given by Mr. Mummee. The Scouts gave a haka and a display of signalling and first aid. Songs were gievn by Misses Merle Daniel and Myrtle Hyde, and Messrs. H. Matthews and Bolton. Sketches were given by Miss Nola Hyde ("Polling Day") and Miss E.
