The Okarito Five .Mile Beach Gold Dredging Company, Ltd., haa also reported a wash-up of: 28oz 4dwt for 116 hours' work• last \veek. . .-'; ; ■ MOLYNEUX ELECTRIC. _ Thedirectors of Molyneux -Electric Gold Dredging: Company, Ltd,; report that advjee lias, now been received from the representative of.the newly-floated English company called the Clutlia River Gold Dredging, Ltd., that 25,000 fully-paid shares/ot 2s each (£2500) have been allotted to the Mol.vneux Electric Gold Dredging Company, Ltd. WAIPAPA BEACH. -.'•Thedire'ctors-of the Waipapa Beach Uold Dredging Company, Ltd., advise the lirst. allotment-of shares. The company's claim is on the southern coast near Fortrose., where limited operations -were undertaken about thirty-five years ago. OTAGO SCHEELITE. T'l?. secretaries of the Otago Schcelite and Jlimng Company, Ltd., report recon-ditioning-of the" mine plant and of the battery and incline to the' battery as completed, .and, crushing should be commenced tomorrow. A trial run. of three hours was gn;en of the battery plant, and the machinery ran very, smoothly.." The mine manager (iliy-W. 11. Langdon) reported ou June' 23 as follows:— "Stoping was carried out in three stopes, and a start made to. open, out on the reef on the left-hand side of the drive.'. The open cut was also further Opened up. The reef in the cut is small, but there are .very good values. This also applies to the reef in the mine. I have four more miners on at "the mine, making eight men." On July 7he reported again :that mining was beiug carried out with eight mcii, but oii account of the heavy snowfall the men could not work oijtside, and consequently were placed uitaerground. \;Good progress was being made with the: drive going south, where the reef was looking well and showing good scheelite. The stojies; worked, were showing good values. . It is estimated that the scheelite and gold-bearing ore already mined amount to approximately SO tons,: carrying higher scheelite values than previously estimated. A; further call of 2s 6d a share has been struck, making the shares called to 12s 6d, and .the directors anticipate that this will provide.sufficient to cover all expenditure until returns are being received.- The price of scheelite has appreciated: considerably since the commencement, of the company's operation. MOUNT LYELL. Mt. Lyell Mining and Railway Co.-pro-duced', for the current year 3905 tons of refinery anodes and 4812 tons of cathode copper. Through continued dry weather mining and treatment .work remained suspended iv: the. fortnight to June 27, and mine, development work ceased on June 15.. Maintenance and construction is still being'continued. ' :
