PETONE ROWING CLUB
The annual report of the Petone Rowling Club states that the past season has been a momentous one^in many respects, f or the first time the club was successful m all the local inter-club regattas, and also,; in the ittter-club eight-oared-race. Seven members of the cliib had" seats in the Wellington provincial eight, and: wins were registered at the Picton and Wanganui regattas. There are' now" sixty-seven active subscribing members,' and the club possesses seventeen boats, including a ne^ light clinker racing four. The cbmmittee considers, that the club, is in a very fortunate position, both financially .Jand otherwise. 'The assets have'increased■ in value by £75, and the overdraft has been reduced by £60, leaving £70 outstanding.
