PROBLEMS DISCUSSED

(British Official Wireless.) (Received July 11, 2 p.m.) KUGBY, July 10. The French. Foreign Minister (M. Bartlibu) left London for Paris this afternoon at the conclusion of liis visit to British Ministers. A communique issued from the Foreign Office says: "The friendly conversations between the British and French Ministers, which were concluded at. the Foreign Office this morning, have made it possible for the two Governments clearly to appreciate their respective points of view on the questions under discussion. These questions have included the French proposals for additional mutual security in Eastern Europe, the future of the Disarmament Conference, and the preparation for the Naval Conference of 193. In connection with: this last point,; M. Pietri will remain ia .jndon for a few days longer." This L.orning's conversations lasted two and a half hours; and at their conclusion the two French Ministers, accompanied by Sir John Simon, crossed over to' No. 11 Downing Street to take luncheon with Mr. Baldwin. In the afternoon the naval conversations were continued at the Foreign Office between M. Pietri aud Sir John Simon and Sir Bolton Eyres-Monsell. According to a Press Association message, the Anglo-French conversations were chiefly devoted to French explanations of the proposed pacts of mutual assistance with the League of Nations as the connecting link. The system will consist of a pact for northeastern Europe, consisting of France, Germany, Eussia, Poland, Czechoslovakia, and the Baltic States, and a Mediterranean pact embracing France, Italy, Yugoslavia, Bumania, Greece, and Turkey, and finally a general pact endorsed by the signatories of existing pacts setting forth the. judicial Telations of those texts -with the League Covenant.
