POWER CONTROL
.The opinion that the electricity supply for-, rural and urban areas should be controlled, by one body, and that, the Government should be urged to take immediate steps to bring this about was expressed in a remit approved by the Manawatu-Oroua Power Board yesterday for submission to the annual conference of the New Zealand Power Boards.
Mr. 0. McElroy said that the chief benefits-were being derived by a few cities ana boroughs, ana the country arens were paying the piper. Some cities were getting the power for about half the price at which it was.made available to country bodies.
