BRIG.-GENERAL HERITAGE
MELBOURNE,'.JuIy 0. The death has Occurred of BrigadierGeneral F. B. Heritage, C.8.E., Quarter-. master-General of the Australian Mili-i tary Forces, at tho ago of 57. j Brigadier-General Heritage was born J in Tasmania in 1877. He served in the South African War in 1899-1900, in j New Guinea in 1914-15, and in. France j in 1917-18, being awarded the Croix do I Guerre with palm. He was Commandant Of "Western Australia in 1919, Commandant of the Royal Military College, Duntroon, 1922-29, Commandant of the ] Second Military District Base, Sydncv | and R.M.C., 1939-32, and had been Quartermaster-General at Headquarters and a member of the Military Board since last year. The order M.V.O. was conferred upon him in 1920, and that I of C.B.E. in 1924.
