MR. G. CARRINGTON'S STUD

A report from Wanganui to tlie effect that Mr. Game Carrington, of Gisborne, had. purchased a property on the Wanganui River for the purpose of a stud farm, to which he intended to remove Hunting Song and Defoe, his imported horses, is denied by the Makaraka studmaster.

Mr. Carringto'n said he had more than one offer of assistance in establishing his stud elsewhere. '' His two horses were wanted badly by certain-Auckland interests, which had made him a really good offer to take his establishment north. There was also a strong demand in "the South Island, where he could get good terms, but he was not desirous of moving from Poverty Bay. '
