BIGGER TEAM NEXT TERM
This season the Te Aroha sportsman, Mr. R. R. Hines, did not have a big team to carry his colours, and King Mestor and King Brierly were his principal prize earners. _ For the ensuing season, however, he will have a team of at least six (says a northern report). They are now being wintered and fed with a view to being commissioned at the end of this mouth.
King Mestor has built up splendidly since going on the easy list, and as a fonr-year-old promises to play his best card. King Win, who up to last week was held under lease by Mr. J. H. King, of Man uniii, will "join the team, and with a few weeks' respite ■ from work should. show j improvement. King Brierly has developed! in a marked manner, and this rising three-year-old bids fair ' again to get on the winning list fairly - early in the new season. Nahlin, who was in work in the early part of last season, when he showed he possessed speed, has grown and thickened out in a very satisfactory manner. This son of Queen Arch will be.one of Te Aroha's best three-year-olds. A newcomer is a rising' two-year-old chestnut gelding by King Ln—Elope', therefore full-brother to Royal Secret. He is a well-developed juvenile, showing plenty. o£ strength, and judging .by appearances, should be, a worthy member of the team. , A bay colt by Musketoon will make Up the number. He has been well cared, for and handled, and' should show to advantage iii due course. . .
