HUTT CLUE!
Pr n f -H.utt Bowlingr Tennis, and Croquet Club states that while the membership has been recuced 'this year an excellent season's tennis was enjoyed, and the standard of play of former1 years has been well maintained. A substantial increase in,membership is anticipated.during the coming season. Two teams-were enter-' ed in^ the Hutt Valley inter-club,competi-tions, aud while the club did not meet with any .outstanding success the standard of tennis was undoubtedly .improved through the matches, A team visited the M eatherston Tennis Club, but was unfortunate to hnve wet weather. Featherston paid,a return visit later in the1 season, and the Hutt Club defeated them by 27 matches to five. The f6llowing member's won trophies during the-season:—Cham-pionship events: Gents'.singles. 1.-Willis'; ■f^.s'ng'ef, G. Hadwin; gents'.doubles,' L Willis and G. Hill; ladies' doubles, N. Davidson M.Lee; mixed doubles, L Willis and I. Davidson. Handicap events: Gents singles, E. Ridyard; ladies' singles, N Davidson; gents' doubles, E.'Ridyard anl H. Stoupe; ladies' doubles, N.'David- !°. n3nd Mrs. MeJlillan; mixed doubles, -b. Kidy^rd and'N. Davidson.' Most improved player, A.' Duff.
