100-FOOT FALL INTO GULLY
THE. DRIVER KILLED

CHEISTCHDECH, June 21,
Failing to negotiate a- sht.rp bend in the road six miles frtm Cheviot this
afternoon, a car oojitahjir.g two persons crashed over a bar:k into a gully 100 ft below.
The driver, Geoffrey. A. Maybury, a married man, aged 35,' a motor agent, of Christ-ihuve.i, was kiilod, and A. D. Cooper, a farmer, of Spotswood, received a fractured left leg, abrasions, and shock.
The accident occurred on a part'of the road along the bank of the Leamington Biver. Mr. Maybury was driving Mr. Cooper to his home at Spotswood, and at a sharp bend the car left the road, overturning several times as it hurtled to the bed of the creek.
Both driver and passenger were thrown out. .
