A . successful staging of a . rock garden, at. the Winter. Show was accomplished, the society being indebted to Messrs. T. vyaugh and Sons for the loan of many plants. Advice and practical assistance nad been given in the construction of rock gardens, at the .■ Wellington East Girls' College, and at Hataitai, Auckland, Lower Hutt, and Eastbourne. Planting day— August 26—was a great success, about 100 well-grown plants being placed in the society's garden at: Lower Hutt.
