SCENE AT JUBBULPORE

CALCUTTA, June 20.

Three British. Army deserters figured in an amazing scene at Jubbulpore, in the Central Province. The; men' had been missing from their regiment since Sunday. ; Today a coolis cleaning carriages at Jubbulpore station found the men in a compartment arid called an official, whoj opening tho door, was greeted with revolver shots. The official informed Army Headquarters, and an armed guard was quickly on the scene. The officer called on the men to. surrender or the troops would fire, whereupon the deserters walked out, threw down their revolvers, and surrendered. . ■
