The" green, which was- playing iwell in the early pah; of the season, [deteriorated badly before 'the close, but now has been thoroughly treated to eradicate weeds, well scarified, and resown. This should give a good playing surface for the coming season. The opening day might have to be delayed so as to ensure the green being in first-class condition before being played on.
