A stsirtHng feature of the Home Office Report's criminal statistics is that nearly half of the indictable offences in 1932 were committed by youths under twenty-one, including a huge proportion of house and shop-breaking offences.
The crimes number 208,175, the- highest this century, and 5657 suicides, the highest recorded.
