MILK FOR NEARBY FARMERS
Should the milk committee of the City Council announce how much milk it sells to nearby farmers, which milk carefully pasteurised, is duly delivered to householders who simply will not: have pasteurised milk? Councillor W. Duncan thinks not, and asked tho milk cominitteo, at last night's meeting of the City Council, to omit references to such sales to nearby farmers in future. "Wo havo been dealing for some time with the farmers—l admit they aro almost impossible to deal with —and we have used them to got legislation through," lie said-. "Then why tell their customers that when they think they are getting raw milk it has really been retailed through us? I think the ■figur.fis i"shbul"d be"taken each month in, committee; the; presonk&ustom is not quite fair." _ Councillor. Duncan's projjosal was not supported.
