PERSONAL.

Captain A. Heed, who has been replaced in command of the Kiwitea: by Captain J. Bruce has transferred to the Waimarino at Auckland. The Waimarino is resuming after survey. > : ■ • ■' Captain W. A. Gray has resumed command of the Waipiata, vice Captain S. A. Chatflcld, who has transferred to the Wingatui. Captain E. It. Lowe has taken temporary command of the Kalmai, relieving Captain C. Captain A. T. Toten is at present awaiting instructions in Sydney. '■ Mr. A. T. Adam, chief officer of the Maliiira, has transferred to • the Maunganui in a similar capacity, relieving .Mr. A. Russell for further orders. •
