FAITH IN AUSTRALIA
DEPARTURE INDEFINITE
ENGINE BEING DISMANTLED
At the present time it is indefinite when Mr. C. T. P. Ulm in tho Faith in Australia will-leave "Wellington en route to the Ninety Milo Beach for the return flight to Australia. The engine that "gave signs of trouble was being dismantled this afternoon, and when this is completed the engineer, Mr. E. N. Boulton, will be-ablo to form an opinion as to whether it will be necessary to import one of the parts that is suspected of being damaged or whether it will be possible to effect temporary repairs here.
This morning Mr. Ulm called on Major-General Sir W. L. H. SinclairBurgess, General Officer Commanding the New Zealand Forces, particularly for the purpose of expressing thanks for tho fact that the Director of Air Services (Squadron-Leader T. M. Wilkcs) had sent up from Christehurch one of the New Zealand Air Force engineers to assist Mr. Boulton in repairing the defect in tho engine. Mr. Ulm also paid a courtesy call on several of the Post and Telegraph officials with whom, ho said, he had happy relations in tho recent official air mail flights across the Tasman.
Consott Christ Church, County Durham, which was erected nearly seventy years ago, is a massive buildingl It has a mighty tower, square, and 77ft in height. It was lately discovered that Hie chancel stands supported by huge iron girders, which stretch across a disused pit shaft.
