LOWER HUTT DISTRESS FUND

The Mayor of Lower Hutt has accepted the offer of owners of the film and the King George Theatre .to screen J'The King of Kings" on Sunday evening, May 20, tho gross proceeds to be donated to the Mayor's Fund for the relief of distress. The Borough Council last evening granted the necessary permission for tho screening of the picture on Sunday. The staff of the council is also organising a ball, the -proceeds of which will bo given, to the Mayor's Fund.
