SHOW ASSOCIATION
AN INTERIM STATEMENT
The .chairman of tho executive' of the Wellington Show Association (Mr. C. J. B. Norwood) stated at last night's meeting of the executive; of the association that while the returns ; from the recent exhibition were in some respects disappointing, they were an: improvement on those for several years.
A statement of revenue for the period September 30, 1933, to May 3, 1934, showed that receipts totalled £3705 18s 3d, the items of which arc as follows, the figures for 1933 being shown in parentheses:—Door takings, £1311 10s-Id (£1237)^ stadium, receipts, ,£J3S 15s (£130); space and sideshtiws, ..£1595 13s 8d (£499); receipts -British, court, ■; & 181 10s. A statement of estimated receipts and expenditure from May 3, 1934, to September 30, 1934, showed a credit balanco.of £1518 16s lid. ,
