Miss Alison Pearce ancl Miss Joyce Herdman have returned from a visit to Wangauui.
Miss I. Wilson, Queen Margaret College, is visiting her mother, Mrs. J. H. Wilson, Cashmere Hills.
Mrs. JTred Caldw.ell, Melbourne, is paying an extended visit to New Zealand, and is at present the guest of Mrs. A. Waring Young, Upland Boad, Kelburn.
Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Forde, Kelburn, have left on a motor trip to Waitomo, The Chateau, aad Auckland.
A great many friends assembled at I the wharf yesterday to bid farewell to Mrs. Sommerville (lately of Titahi Bay), who left by the Port Wellington for an extended visit to England. The departihg friend was laden with lovelyflowers, books, and other parting gifts. Among those at the wharf were Dr. Ada Patereon and her sister, Professor and Mrs. Bankine Brown, Professor and Mrs. Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Erie Sclanders, Mr. and Mrs. Jack, Miss Medley, Mrs. Brown (Titahi Bay), and many others.
Miss Kathleen Kennedy, Masterton, is visiting WelJington.
Miss L. O'Connor, Wellington, is visiting Christchureh.
Mrs. H. D. Aitkens, Wellington, is visitijig Christchurch.
Misses Mary and Egidia Menzies, who have been holidaying in the North Island, ■will'return to Christchureh on Saturday.
Mrs. J. Carter, Epsom, Auckland, is visiting Wellington, and is the guest of Mrs. J, Zafeara, The Terrace,

Mrs. G. W. Willey returned to Weilington by the Narbada after < a four months' tour of the East. '
Mrs. Florence Porter has returned from a tour of the Wairarapa in the interests pf the Bible Society, and, &U thpugh the weather was boisterous, niuch interest in the work was evinced throughout.
Mrs. B. A. Butler, St. Helicrs Bay, Auckland, is visiting relatives in Manawatu and Wellington.
