SYDNEY, May 15. At the wool sales today 6613 bales were offered, of which 3814--were sold' at auction, also 5G72 bales were sold privately. Competition was limited, the principal operators being the German and French sections, with restricted support from Japan and the local mills.

Prices were at about the previous day's levels, sonic irregularity resulting from the heavy withdrawals. Greasy merino made to 17d.
