The. Marine Department advises that a rocky shoal with' a' least' depth of 2%' .fathoms M.L.W.S. has been located In Foveaiix Strait in a 'position 'OTOdeg. one mile from' Falrchild Rock,, lat 46deg. 43.5min S., long. 168deg. 43min E. (approximately). The shoal' extends about 300 .feet in a north-south direction and about 150 feet in an east-west direction, , and has depths ■of 10 fathoms close around. ' ■ - ........
The conspicuous trees on Bushy Point, Foveaux:Strait, have been charted as follows:— Northern clump, lat. 4Cdeg 3Gmin S., long. lCSdeg 33.4min E.; southern clump, lat. 46deg. 36min S., long lGSdeg. 33.5m1n E.
Toby Rock is reported to lie 340deg. about six cables frota its charted .position. The- 15ft. patch in a position 156deg. 118 yards from No. 3 beacou, Bluff Harbour, is to be expunged, and a depth' of ' 23' feet inserted.
