WELLINGTON CITIZENS
FROM THE LORD MAYOR OF SYDNEY
His Worship .the Mayor, Town. Hall, Wellington. My Dear Mr. Mayor,— It is pleasing to know that this letter is being -entrusted' to one who has done sofmuch to further tho causo of aviation, and that the crew of the Faith in Australia is identical with that which carried out tho first official mail service between . Australia , and Now Zealand. The proximity of. pur. capitals and
the reciprocal assistance in matters municipal which has been rendered the one to the other in the past, which 1 am very happy to acknowledge, leads me to the fervent and pleasurable hope that the still closer proximity which an air service is able to render will result in the consummation of an even greater co-operation and good will between two sister Capitals and ultimately between two sister Dominions of the British Commonwealth, of Nations. With all good wishes for the future believe me to be, my dear Mr. Mayor, Yours very sincerely, Alfred L. Parker. The Lord Mayor's Office, Brisbane. Dear Mr. Mayor,— I have just been elected Lord' Mayor of Brisbane, and have much pleasure in conveying to you, by Mr Ulm, cordial greetings and best wishes tor the prosperity of your city. Yours faithfully, A. Jones, Lord Mayor.
