At Porthcawl, 64 players with scores of 173 and under qualified for the match play in tfte British women's championship on Monday.
Miss Molly Gourlay, with 152, leads the field. She beat the women's record on the reconstructed course with a 74. Next, came Miss Diana Fishwiek and (Mile, de Gunzbourg. 155, Mrs. Garon and Miss Morgan 158.
Others qualifying included Misses B. i.Gaisford and O. Kay (New Zealand), s ,nd Mrs. Jaeobsen (New Zealand) 172. J Irs. Collinson (New Zealand) did not q, ualify. Mrs. Jacobsen has boon drawn against Miss Gourlay, and Miss Gaisfd rd against Mrs." Garon. ~-..-., .
