■AMSTERDAM, May 12. Australia defeated Holland in tho tennis series ■> by nine matches to one, including Crawford and'MeGrath's defeat of Leembruggeri and Hugan, in which match the score was 6-0, 6-1. Eesults in the match Australia v. the Queen's .Club are:—
Quist beat Peters, 10-8, 6-3; Crawford beat Avory, 6-2, 3-6, 11-9; Turnbull and Quist beat Sharpo and Tinkler, 6-0 6-4-Crawford and McGrath beat Avory and Peters, 6-2, 2-6, 6-3. In the match between Holland and Japan, Yamagishi beat Hugan 6-1 8-G; Fujikura and Mild beat Hugan and Leembruggen, 2-6, 6-1, C-3. , * Miss Hartigan beat Miss Noel, 3-0,
Tho Japanese have cancelled their visit to. the Berlin tournament and are not playing in the French championships.
The Australia v. Japan Davis Cup tie is to'be played from Juno 7to June
