PRESBYTERIAN CLUB
Eastbourne was the venue of the Presbyterian Club's weekly run, forty-two runners in three packs, led by G. Rae, R. D. •Moore, and M. gteplienson, starting from St. Ronan's Presbyterian Church. A fairly strenuous trail was provided by K. Comrie and H.. Cook. It followed: tlie' sea front the; lighthouse for about three, miles. A scramble up the steep face of the ridge through manuka and gorse came'next, and the ridge and the road were then followed back to the starting . point. : .Some:.! runners, 'particularly'the new members, found the going through the.soft sand and the hill climb rather strenuous, but.they thoroughly enjoyed the experience nevertheless. Afternpon tea was provided by the girls of the senior Bible class.' The singing of "Auld Lang SJ'ue".ended a delightful afternoon's outing.
