PHIER—MABEN.

The wedding was solemnised recent-ly-at St. Peter's Church, Willis Street, of Muriel, only daughter of Mr. G-. S. Mabon, Wellington, to Leopold Clavell, second son of Mrs. A. Prior, Lower Hutt. Tho Key. W. Bullock officiated, and Mr. S, Shortt was at the organ.; Tho bride, who- was escorted by her father, wore a graceful gown of ivory ring velvet, cut on classical lines, with cowl neck and long fitting, sleeves. Her veil was caught at each side, with a tiny spray of orange blossom, and at the back of the head with a single string of pearls. She carried a sheaf of cream gladioli. Her attendants wcto Miss Tui Denison and Miss Mavis Prier (sister of the bridegroom), who wore charming frocks of green ring velvet made in princess, style, finished with largo bows at the back. Beret hats of cherry velvet- and cherry shoes were worn, and they carried sheaves of cherry gladioli.

The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. .T. Stevenson, and those of groomsman, by Mr. R. Hewitt.

About fifty guests were entertained at a reception at the- residence of Mr. find Mrs. H. Tapping, Pereival, Street. Mrs. Tapping received the guests, wearing a brown lace frock with touches of tangerine oncl a brown velvet toque, and carrying a posy of tangerine zinnias. Mrs. Prior, mother of the bridegroom, wore a black and white ensemble and black hat. Her posy was of red carnations. Miss V. Prior, sister of tho bridegroom, wore a frock of wedgwood blue crinkle crepe, with touches of gvey. The tables were decorated with green, silver, and white, with green candles burning in silver candlesticks. !
