With falling winds late on TTiday^ the greatest dust storm for twenty year 3 subsided, "leaving- Minnesota and NorlK Dakota top soil on office desks and household rugs-in several States as far east' as1 Pennsylvania. ;':' ; ;
The extensive drought, which has pulverised the soil, continues unabated, and crop conditions remain acute. Light rains were reported in a few sections, and these are the first in twenty-eight days. The high winds and dust storms forced aeroplanes to climb to 15,000 ft for clear air. ; . . '
