£1150 DAMAGES

MOTOR COLLISION SEQUEL

AUCKLAND, May 11.

A claim for damages arising out of a motor collision on May 27 last year was heard before Mr. Justice Herdman and a jury in the Supreme Court. The plaintiff was Harold Victor Hunt, a draper's assistant, who brought a claim against Lawrence Collins, a salesman. The total claim was for £2413.

A collision between tho plaintiff's motor-cycle and the defendant's motorcar took place on "Waterfront Road. The plaintiff alleged that it was duo to the defendant's negligent driving.

The jury returned a verdict for the plaintiff of £750 general damages, in addition to special damages agreed upon. Judgment was therefore entered for the plaintiff for £.1150 ISs 6d, with costs and expenses.
