BELMONT COURSE A GOOD TEST
By "Chipshot."
Tho selection of Belmont course for the 1934 championship meeting by the New Zealand Golf Council will bo welcomed as being fairly ' central. The course is one of the best tests of golf in New Zealand, with some very interesting long holes and tricky short ones. If its condition is anything like that of 1929, when Sloan Morpeth won the amateur and A. J. Shaw the open, players will be rewarded for their shots. Hillier than Shirley, Bolmont stands rain well, but it is inclined to become fast after a few weeks of dry, hot weather.
