N.Z.W.H.A. CONFERENCE

The New Zealand Women's Hockey Association is holding a conference in Wellington on May 15. Tho matters to be dealt with arc as follows:—(1) Tour of New Zealand by a team from New South Wales this year; (2) examination and classification of referees on rules of women's hockey; (3) tour of New Zealand team to Australia next year, including recommendations for selectors, etc.; (4) Dominion tournaments, date of closing of entries, appointment of referees; (5) uniformity of dress for women players; (6) general.

In addition to these matters, representatives may introduce other subjects for discussion.

The Nelson Association has suffered a severe loss by the transfer of Mr. Oscar Mullins to Wellington. His departure, states "The Bulletin," will leave a big gap in Nelson hockey, for which he' did everything possible. Last year he was president of tho N.H.A., and was largely responsible for the efficient and profitable management of tho inter-island match. That the value of his services is recognised in Wellington is shown by the fact that the W.11.A. has appointed him one of the senior selectors.
