FOR THE COACHES

The Wellington Eugby Union is making a very definite attempt this season to bring the coaching of teams engaged in all competitions under its jurisdiction.up to the best possible standard. To this end meetings are held regularly for coaches, and at these lectures'are given by prominent explayers as well as by referees. There is much of interest for the coaches, and there is much helpful advice to be gained at the meetings, it being cxrjeeted, of course, that the coaches will make the most of it in passing it on to the players under their care. Attention is called to an announcement in this issue'regarding the next meeting, to be held at tho Commercial Travellers' Club on Monday night. Every coach, whether his team is taking part in the union's grade competitions or in the schools' competitions (secondary and primary), should make a special effort to attend the meeting.
