LAUNCH ABLAZE
OWNER FORCED OVERBOARD

AUCKLAND, This Day. The 28-foot launch Bamona was burned the- ivater's edge in St. Helicrs Bay this morning. The owner \\\ B. Craig, had barely time to leap overboard, and suffered minor burns. The engine backfired when he was tryi"g to start it and the- petrol supply caught fire. The flames spread rapidly, and he could do nothing but jump overboard and swim ashore,
